The Fraunhofer Institute for Integrated Circuits IIS is one of the world’s leading research institutes for microelectronic and information technology systems and services. Customized monitoring systems that automatically alert you if there is a deterioration in the efficiency of the overall system can reduce both operating costs and CO2 emissions. By linking mathematical-physical models and data-based approaches, Fraunhofer IIS/EAS optimizes the operating and control strategies of your energy consumers, generators and storage systems, taking into account weather forecasts or variable energy costs.

In its own climate chamber, Fraunhofer IIS/EAS also offers the possibility of testing and optimally adjusting small heating/air-conditioning systems in conjunction with virtual house simulations (hardware-in-the-loop simulation).
