YOUR SPECIALIST FOR ABRASIVES
ERVIN Germany GmbH is a manufacturer of metallic particles and steel abrasives made of stainless steel & black steel, with a production plant in the industrial arc Meißen (Glaubitz) and offers solutions for the applications:
- Surface treatment
- Cleaning blasting
- Cutting
- Shot blasting
The company’s history dates back to the early 1920s, when founder John F. Ervin invented the casting process for steel abrasives.
With its products, ERVIN is responding to the growing demand for a switch from aluminum oxide and other mineral abrasives to metallic abrasives. Amasteel Grit and the stainless steel abrasive Amagrit both offer a number of advantages over aluminum oxide, including lower consumption, less dust and waste, which can lead to significant savings. Here you can see a comparison between blasting with amagrite and aluminum oxide.

DECARBONIZATION OF THE PRODUCTION PROCESS
With a process conversion/adaptation from natural gas firing/heating to electric heating and hydrogen burner systems, the company would like to contribute to the transformation of the Riesa/Meißen economic area into a decarbonized production location and is interested in networking with solution providers.
